Since starting the company more than 20 years ago, he has led our growth to more than 1,500 employees, 7,000 customers and 700,000 suppliers nationwide. Prior to establishing AvidXchange, Michael co-founded two other successful tech and software-based companies, InfoLink Partners and PlanetResume.com, and served as an associate with Summit Partners, a Boston-based venture capital and buyout partnership with more than $1 billion under management.

Angelic Gibson has spent over 20 years in Information Technology, in a number of leadership positions. She joined AvidXchange in 2018, and today serves as our Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining AvidXchange, she held the position of Senior Vice President, Information Technology at Technekes.
Angelic has built and supported business intelligence platforms, has extensive cloud computing strategic insight, and a solid track record of success in balancing operational efficiencies with business development and growth.

John is currently the CFO and head of IT and Procurement for Trussway LLC, the largest manufacturer in the US of wooden roof and floor trusses and other related products for multi-family residential projects. He’s a graduate of the US Naval Academy and held finance leadership roles at Shell, Univar, Ascend Performance Materials, Eureka Resources, Kaseware and Velocys.

Claudia is the CFO at Borger Management, Inc and is responsible for managing all accounting operations and leading a seasoned team of accounting professionals in all aspects of Borger’s corporate and client financial reporting. Chuck Carpenter joined Denver Public Schools in the summer of 2008 and began serving as the Chief Financial Officer in 2021. Prior to his role leading Finance at DPS, he served in a variety of roles at the District including Charter School Authorizing, School Improvement, and Financial Planning & Analysis. Prior to joining DPS, Mr. Carpenter taught 3rd and 4th grade in rural Louisiana from 2006-08. Mr. Carpenter holds an undergraduate degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. He lives in Denver with his wife and two children.

Justin Schumacher is the VP of Finance at JumpCloud. He has held many management roles that have built him into an impressive leader. Prior to JumpCloud, he was the VP of Business Operations at Uplight. Schumacher’s other leadership experiences stem from his time as VP of Finance at Simple Energy, Controller at SyncHR, and his management roles at SolidFire (acquired by NetApp), Datalogix (acquired by Oracle), and KPMG.

Tara has worked her entire career in the Finance industry. She joined Graham Oleson in 2008, was promoted to Controller in 2013 and more recently, in 2019, the VP of Finance. Tara brings an in-depth knowledge and continued commitment to ensure that through financial strategies and budget analysis, we have proper practices in place that allow us to be transparent in all aspects to our clients.

Sherry Ashcraft joined Bradford Allen in 2018 as the firm’s Accounting Controller. She is responsible for preparing and distributing monthly and quarterly reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, supporting the firm’s property management, brokerage, and capital markets divisions, and handling a variety of general accounting duties. Prior to joining Bradford Allen, Sherry worked at Ridge Development Company, a subsidiary of Transwestern, where she oversaw all accounting aspects, worked on multiple joint venture development and management projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Operating Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Vanessa Lugo is responsible for all of the bank’s internal financial functions, including general accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, corporate taxes, and budgeting & forecasting. She works directly with the bank’s CFO, President, and Board of Directors to support and execute organizational objectives and goals. Ms. Lugo joined Ocean Bank in 2015 as Chief Accounting Officer and was promoted to Operating CFO two years later.
Ms. Lugo started her professional career in Financial Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers Caracas, Venezuela. She was transferred in 2010 to PricewaterhouseCoopers Miami office as a Financial Service Manager. Her career spans more than 15 years of extensive experience in banking, financial services, and business leadership. Vanessa also serves on the Board of Directors of the South Florida Banking Institute.
